James R. Rookstool"Big Daddy"James R. Rookstool of Morrisville, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, July 18, 2017 after his long battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was 86 years old. James was greeted at the pearly gates of heaven by his wife, Ruth, siblings Francis, and Marie Matthews, as well as his granddaughter Jenna Rookstool. James is survived by his loving sister, Anna Rookstool Badrak of Wilmington DE, his children Eileen (Nina) Bajor,James Jr(Bobby), Ruth (Roxy), Eric and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his special friend Norma Frank.James graduated from the Trenton Technical Institute with concentration in Electronic Technology and Bucks County Community College with studies in Business Management. He continued his career by working as an electrical contractor and plant engineer at multiple companies. James opened his own company, James R. Rookstool Electrical Contractors , Inc. in 1976. His family owned and operated business was successful for 27 years before his retirement in 2003. James was heavily involved in the local community sponsoring Holy Trinity CYO sports teams, teaching classes at Bucks County Technical High School, served as a member of the Morrisville Municipal Authority Board of Directors and the Pennsbury Exchange Club, as well as the Father Gallagher Council 3673, Knights of Columbus with Holy Trinity in Morrisville, PA. After retirement, he spent his time with Ruth on their boat and their home in Florida. JR will be remembered for his humor, tricks on the grandchildren, work ethic, strength, love for boating, honesty, integrity, dazzling blue eyes, and his love for Ruth. Viewing will be held at J Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel Friday, July 21, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, and Saturday July 22 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. Funeral mass will take place at Holy Trinity Church at 10:00 AM, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Morrisville, Pennsylvania. Internment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Morrisville Ambulance Squad or Holy Trinity Church in Morrisville, PA.
