James Duva, age 64 of Levittown, PA, passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. Born in Bristol, Jim had been a lifelong Lower Bucks County resident.
Jim was a graduate of Bishop Eagan High School, Class of 1978, where he was Captain of the football team. He graduated from Kutztown University, where he also played football, in 1983. Jim was an excellent athlete and played ultimate frisbee, both at the regional and national levels. He was a huge fan of the Washington Redskins/Commanders.
Son of the late Angelo Duva, he is survived by his devoted mother Virginia “Ginny” (Taylor) Duva, a son Oskar Duva of Phila., a daughter Katrina Duva of Phila., a brother and sister-in-law Victor A. and Dawn Duva of Langhorne, a sister and brother-in-law Michelle and Kenneth Gurysh of Langhorne, two nieces Kiley and Taylor Gurysh and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11 AM on Friday, September 13, 2024 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. Deacon David McGovern of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church will officiate. His interment will follow in St. Mark’s Cemetery, Bristol Pike, Bristol, PA.
Friends may call on Friday from 10-11 AM at the funeral chapel.
