Helen M. Brady (garrity)

Helen M. Brady, age 97, of Langhorne, PA, died on Monday, June 24, 2013 at Attleboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Langhorne, PA. Born in Buffalo, NY, she moved to the Yardley area in 1963. Helen was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy, and received her Bachelor of Science degree from D'Youville College in Amhearst, NY. She continued her post graduate studies at the University of Buffalo. Mrs. Brady was a teacher at St. Mary's School for the Deaf in Buffalo. Later, she pursued a career in elementary education, teaching in Buffalo, NY, Yardley, PA, and Trenton, NJ. Helen was an avid bridge player and loved to read. She enjoyed theater, and traveling with her daughter and son-in-law.Daughter of the late Frederick W. and Katherine (McCarthy) Garrity, and wife of the late Basil Brady, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carol A. and J. William Charlton of Langhorne, PA, a son and daughter-in-law, James P. and Karin Brady of Severna Park, MD, three grandchildren, William, Tessa, and John Maxwell, and several nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her funeral mass on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 11 AM at St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA. The Rev. Monsignor Michael Picard will celebrate mass. Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery.Friends may call Friday morning from 10-11 AM at the church.In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer mass cards please.Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J.
