Harry Joseph Stone, born on January 2, 1955 in Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully in his hometown on June 27, 2026. His passing marks the conclusion of a life deeply rooted in the city where it began, and one characterized by steadfast dedication to family and enduring relationships.
Harry was the beloved son of Albert Stone and Clara Shreves Stone, both of whom predeceased him. He grew up in Philadelphia, and this vibrant city remained a central part of his identity throughout his life. As a member of the Stone family, Harry valued the bonds of kinship, extending love and guidance to those closest to him.
He is survived by his devoted children, Jeremy A. Stone and Katharina T. Stone, both of whom carry forward his values and legacy. Harry’s influence as a father was profound, and his children’s successes and character are a testament to his unwavering support and wisdom. Additionally, he leaves behind his cherished grandson, Apollo Delano, whose presence provided joy and an enduring sense of hope for the future.
Harry is also survived by his sister-in-law, Ida Stone, and several nieces and nephews. Each of these relationships was important to him, and he took pride in family gatherings and the traditions that helped shape the Stone family over many years.
He was preceded in death not only by his parents but also by Elaine Beatty, who held a meaningful place in his life.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 10-11 AM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave, Morrisville, PA 19067. A celebration of life will commence at 11 AM, followed by his interment in Morrisville Cemetery.
Harry Joseph Stone will be remembered for the strength of his character and the quiet dignity with which he faced life’s challenges. His legacy lives on in the lives of his family, who will cherish his memory and honor the values he exemplified.
The Stone family and all who knew and respected Harry remember him with deep appreciation for his place in their lives, and hold his memory in their hearts.
