George Charles (Sr.) Bendy

George Charles Bendy Sr. passed away on September 26th, 2023 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Langhorne, PA surrounded by his loving family. Born in Hamilton, NJ in 1935, George and his loving wife Virginia “Ginny” moved to Morrisville, Pa in 1965. George and Ginny were married 67 years.

George worked at Mercer Rubber then later worked as a custodian at Pennsbury School District. Outside of work, George was an avid Bluegrass fan and enjoyed festivals at the Appalachian Fiddle & Bluegrass Association Park in Wind Gap, Pa and shows at the Heartlands Hayride in Sergeantsville, NJ. George was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan, much to the dismay of his family.  He loved all sports, even golf. He was a loyal sponsor of the Pennsylvania Lottery and loved watching birds from his man-room window.  He was also an avid fisherman and could be seen frequently fishing at the canal in Yardley, Pa.

George was preceded in death by his loving wife Ginny, his brother Joe, and his sister Franny. He is survived by his children, George Bendy (Diane), Ken Bendy (Theresa), Robert Bendy (Traci), and Loretta Brown (Clarence), his brother Jack and sisters Shirley and Cathy.  He will also be sadly missed by his 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Services will be private at the discretion of the family.
