Morrisville, PA

Florence Helen Vaughan, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, in Phoenixville, PA, at the age of 87. Born October 30, 1938, in Philadelphia, PA, Florence lived a full and vibrant life defined by her kindness, zest for learning, and enduring commitment to family and community.

Florence was the cherished daughter of the late Henry Vaughan and Florence (Festino) Vaughan. Growing up in Philadelphia, she developed lifelong passions and built enduring relationships. A faithful former parishioner at St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, Florence drew lifelong guidance and comfort from her spiritual community.

Throughout her life, Florence embraced a wide range of interests. She found joy in creative pursuits like knitting, drawing, and coloring. Her green thumb showed in her love of gardening, and she always took pleasure in tending her plants. A voracious reader, Florence was particularly fond of science fiction and proudly embraced her status as a dedicated "Star Trek" aficionado. Music also held a special place in her heart, with favorites like The Mamas & The Papas and Simon & Garfunkel providing a beloved soundtrack to her life. Florence held a deep affection for animals and especially showered love and treats on her daughter Sharon’s dogs, Sianna and Soreya.

During her time at the Morrisville Presbyterian Towers, Florence became a vibrant part of the community. Affectionately known as the "Coffee Girl," her warm and welcoming nature brightened mornings as she prepared coffee for fellow residents. She also actively participated in the Gardening Club and Crafts Club, where she shared her talents and built deep friendships.

Florence’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived and remembered with love by her sons, Jeffrey S. Jacobs and Kevin E. Jacobs (Heather); her daughters, Kathleen F. Watkins (Rodney) and Sharon A. Clark (Michael); her cherished grandchildren, Carolyn, Cherylanne, and Jarod Watkins, and Gabrielle and Olivia Jacobs; as well as several nieces and nephews.
