Morrisville and New Hope

Florence Rabayda, age 100, of Morrisville and New Hope Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 3rd 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 4, 1926, in Summit Hill, Pennsylvania, Florence was the beloved wife of the late Michael J. Osilka and the cherished daughter of the late Michael and Esther Rabayda. She was preceded in death by her eight siblings: John Bowen, Margaret Boyle, Helen Watts, George Bowen, Paul Rabayda, Daniel Rabayda, Michael Rabayda, and Basil Rabayda.

Florence is lovingly survived by her children: Regina Powell; Patricia Cox and her husband, Kevin; Michael Osilka and his wife, Karen; and Denise Kruse and her husband, John. She was a devoted grandmother to Timothy Powell, Christopher Powell, Rebecca Powell Thomas, Brian Cox, Lauren Cox Moser, Michael Osilka, Emma Osilka, Christian Kruse, and Justin Kruse. Florence was also blessed with 11 great-grandchildren, who brought her great joy.

A devoted member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Morrisville, Florence found deep meaning in her faith. She was active in the church choir and prayer group and gave generously of her time through the Helping Hands program at Holy Trinity School.

Florence lived a life full of warmth, creativity, and generosity. She was a gifted gardener with a green thumb, and her home bloomed with life and beauty. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crafting, often sharing handmade creations (like her crocheted Christmas angels and snowflakes) with family and friends. Music was a constant in her life—she loved playing the piano and singing, especially with those she loved. Florence was also known for her exceptional cooking and baking, filling her kitchen with delicious meals and sweet treats that brought people together. (Her famous carrot cake was always the highlight of any celebration.)

Her legacy of love, faith, and creativity lives on in the lives she touched and the family she so dearly cherished.
