Florence E. Mannon, 97, of Morrisville died Tuesday January 23,2024 at Robert Wood Johnson-Hamilton, NJ. She had been a resident of Morrisville for the past 75 years.
Florence was born in Wall Township, and raised in Farmingdale and Lawrenceville, N.J., to the late Marion and Clarence R. Brown Sr. After receiving her high school diploma from Trenton High School, Florence went on to marry the love of her life, Robert Mannon and they had four beautiful children together. In her free time when she wasn’t spending time with her family, she took joy in reading and sewing, her favorite hobby was embroidery. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary in the Capitol View Fire Company, and she was very active with the Morrisville Presbyterian Church.
She is predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Robert Mannon; her brother C.R. Brown Jr., and her sister, Dorothy Jones. She is survived by her children, Margaret E. and her husband, George Preston, of Hatboro, Sue E. and her husband, Thomas DeShields, of Morrisville, Irene E. Mannon, of Morrisville, and Robert “Al” and his wife, Lillian R. Mannon, of Langhorne; her brother, Ralph Brown, of Pocasset, MA; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; along with several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and close friends. She will be dearly missed.
Services and interment in Forest Hills Cemetery will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
