Evelyn M. (Deitrick) Liwacz

Evelyn M. (Deitrick) Liwacz, age 93, of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA.  Born in Morrisville, Mrs. Liwacz had been a lifelong Morrisville resident.

She was a graduate of Morrisville High School, and later worked as a private secretary for C.V. Hill Refrigeration in Trenton.  Evelyn had been a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Morrisville, actively participating in the St. Theresa’s Guild, where she ran bingo and card parties, as well as bus trips to New York City.  Mrs. Liwacz loved being a homemaker, mother, and grandmother.  She enjoyed working the polls on Election Day, going to the casinos, and taking trips to Maine, the Pocono Mountains, Lancaster, and shopping at Boscov’s.  Evelyn was extremely social and everyone enjoyed her company.  She was really tuned into the people around her and it was said that she was the “best gift-giver ever.”

Daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Veisz) Deitrick, wife of the late Henry Liwacz, and mother of the late Robert H. Liwacz, she is survived by her grandson Todd J. (and wife Julia) Bucco of Chicago, IL, her granddaughter Theresa Bucco of Philadelphia, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her Funeral Mass at 10 AM on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA  19067.  Her interment will follow in Morrisville Cemetery.

Friends may call Wednesday morning from 8:30 – 9:30 AM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA  19067.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Evelyn’s name may be made to Holy Trinity Church at the above address.
