Elizabeth T. (Forker) Jeitner

December 5, 1926 — November 10, 2020

Yardley, PA

Elizabeth T. (Forker) Jeitner (“Lizz”), age 93 of Yardley, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020 at Manorcare of Yardley.  Born and raised in Philadelphia, she lived in Philly for 50 years before moving to Yardley 6 years ago.

Daughter of the late Henry and Ellen (Donnelly) Forker, and wife of the late Charles (“Chick”) Jeitner.  They enjoyed 67 years of marriage.  Lizz never learned to drive and Chick was always ready, willing and able to take Lizz wherever she wanted to go.  They were truly soul mates.

Lizz was a graduate of Little Flower High School, and worked in the laboratory at Whitman’s Chocolates in Philadelphia for over 10 years.  She attended St. Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church in Yardley.  Elizabeth enjoyed bowling and playing bingo.  An avid sports fan, she followed and rooted for the Phillies and the Eagles.  Lizz loved to shop, but the most important part of her life was her family.  Chick & Lizz went all out for Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations in their home (they wore matching aprons).

She is survived by her son Michael “Mick” Jeitner (and Linda Rowan) of Levittown, and her two daughters Eileen Lee of Philadelphia and Maryellen Menarde of Yardley.  She was blessed with five grandchildren:  David Jeitner; Jonas and Jesse (and his wife, Shauna) Menarde; and Rachel and Amy Jensen.  She enjoyed and loved her three great-grandchildren Tabatha Otero; and Maggie and Jacob Menarde, and she was grateful to have met her one great-great-granddaughter, Peyton.

Lizz enjoyed her many trips to Foxwoods with her good friend and neighbor Bernice and her daughters Eileen and Maryellen.  They would meet up with special friends on those trips, Harry and Jon, and on the drive home she would express how her cheeks were sore from laughing for so many hours in their company.  These bi-annual trips were a true highlight in her life.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Pat & Tom and Lorraine & Ed for their many years of friendship with their mother and for always including her in their lunch dates, and birthday and holiday celebrations.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 at St. Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church, 999 Reading Ave, Yardley, PA  19067.  Her interment will follow, along with the interment of her late husband, at 1 PM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.

Friends may gather at the church beginning at 11 AM.
