September 6, 1943 — February 3, 2019

Dorothy Robinson, age 75, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully at her home after a long battle with cancer on Sunday, February 3, 2019.  Born in Trenton, NJ September 6, 1943, Dorothy was a long-time resident of Morrisville, PA. She graduated from Morrisville High School in 1961, and continued living in the borough until the early 90s. She spent a few years moving around to Hamilton, NJ, Lambertville, NJ and Lewistown, PA, before settling in Philadelphia in the early 2000s. She was a self-employed, single mom decades before it was fashionable. She authored two books on antiques, and was widely respected as an authority on early American silverware. She was active in the politics of Northern Ireland and a member of Clan Na Gael. She drank whiskey and caroused with known IRA terrorists. She was deeply principled, tenaciously stubborn, and fiercely independent to the very end.
Daughter of the late Neal and Dorothy (Clark) Nolan of Morrisville, she is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Erik T. Robinson of Crested Butte, CO, David N. and Ronni Robinson of Philadelphia, and Mark A. Robinson of New York, NY, her sister and brother-in-law Kathy and Bruce Perelli of Hamilton, NJ, two nieces Nancy Depalma and Jen Diricco and a nephew Dan Diricco.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 11 AM on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA  19067, where friends may call from 10:30 AM until time of Mass.  Her interment will follow in Morrisville Cemetery, Morrisville, PA.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel.
