Dorothy D. Bloor, born on March 14, 1935, in Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on December 16, 2025, in Morrisville, Pennsylvania. She was a cherished member of her community and a devoted family member, known for her warmth and enthusiasm for life.
Dorothy began her professional journey at Barnesboro Bank in Barnesboro, Pennsylvania, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to her job. She moved to Levittown, where she continued her career at Bristol Bank and Yardley Savings and Loan. Dorothy dedicated the latter part of her professional life to Home Rubber Company, retiring in 1998 after five years of service.
A graduate of Barnesboro High School, Class of 1954, Dorothy nurtured a love of learning and community involvement that defined her later years. A long-time member of Calvary Full Gospel Church since 1991, Dorothy was actively engaged in the Golden Agers Ministries for seniors. Through this involvement, she enjoyed enriching experiences, such as taking day trips to Cape May, Longwood Gardens, and Seaside Heights, expanding her appreciation for nature and community.
Throughout her life, Dorothy delighted in summertime trips to Wildwood, New Jersey, during her youth, and later found joy in spending winters in Florida. Her love for travel and new experiences remained a hallmark of her personality.
Dorothy cherished her family dearly. She is survived by her devoted husband, William C. Bloor, with whom she shared 55 loving years of marriage. Her family also includes her sister Joann Roberts, brother-in-law and sister Vicky and William McLay, and sister Linda DaBella, along with many nieces and nephews who will remember her with fondness and affection.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael DaBella; mother, Angeline Germanaro DaBella; brother, Paul DaBella; and sister, Rose Magnusen. Dorothy’s legacy will continue to live on through her family and friends, all of whom she has touched with her kindness and vivacity.
A visitation to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be held on December 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Calvary Full Gospel Church, located at 676 Lincoln Highway, Fairless Hills, PA 19030. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at the same location from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Dorothy will then be interred at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940, during a ceremony commencing at 1:00 PM.
Dorothy D. Bloor will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, her dedication to family, and her passion for life’s joys. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate in the hearts of those she knew and adored.
