Doris A. Cranston (marshall)

March 29, 1927 — October 20, 2013

Doris A. (Marshall) Cranston, formerly Doris Mullen, age 86, of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on Oct. 20, 2013 at Attleboro Nursing Home, Langhorne, PA. Born in East Providence, RI, Doris had been a lifelong Morrisville resident.Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a sales clerk in the shoe departments of Nevius Vorhees and Lit Brothers for 20 years. A member of the Morrisville Senior Service Center, Mrs. Cranston enjoyed drawing and loved to dance and do crossword puzzles. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.Raised by her late mother and step father, Adelaide (Francis) and John Perry, daughter of the late John Marshall, wife of the late Thomas Edward Mullen and LeRoy Kenneth Cranston, and sister of the late Florence (and husband John) Krause, she is survived by her son and daughter in law Thomas W. and Ruth Mullen of Langhorne, PA, 2 grandchildren and their spouses, Dawn and Joseph Tripoli of Morrisville and Daniel and Amanda Mullen of Langhorne, a great grandson Joseph Tripoli IV, and nieces and nephews.Services and interment in Morrisville Cemetery will be held privately at the convenience of the family under the care of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, Morrisville, PA (www.hooperfuneralchapel.com).In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Cranston's name may be sent to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001.
