Donna Lee Gabriel, a cherished pillar of the Morrisville community and a lifelong resident of this close-knit town, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, in Abington, Pennsylvania. Born on November 9, 1949, in Trenton, New Jersey, Donna’s life was marked by devotion not only to her family and friends but also to her faith and her community.
A proud graduate of Bishop Conwell High School, Donna carried her lessons beyond the classroom with a spirit of kindness and service that defined her entire life. For 15 years, she dedicated herself as an office worker for the New Jersey Lottery Commission, applying diligence and integrity to her work. Alongside her professional life, Donna spent 13 years as a Tupperware Associate, a role that allowed her to foster friendships and engage warmly with many. Her gatherings with Tupperware friends at the Eagle Diner in Warminster every third Saturday were a highlight that brought joy to her heart.
Donna’s faith was a central pillar in her life. As a devoted parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Morrisville, she was lovingly involved in the church decorating committee and the Ladies of Columbus. She faithfully served as a collector during Mass, a humble role that was a testament to her quiet strength and dedication to her spiritual community.
Known affectionately as everyone’s caretaker, Donna had a natural gift for caring and a gentle spirit that touched all who met her. Her home radiated warmth not just from her presence but from her many talents and interests. An avid bowler, she participated in numerous leagues over the years, finding camaraderie and joy in the lanes. She was also a skilled crocheter, creating beautiful handiwork that carried the same warmth and care she gave to those around her. Donna’s love for travel took her to Hawaii on seven memorable occasions, a place that held a special place in her heart.
Donna is lovingly remembered by her husband, Robert M. Gabriel, who shared in a lifetime of partnership and love. She is survived by her sons, Kevin R. Gabriel and his wife Keyla, and Ian T. Gabriel and his wife Courtney, who cherish the legacy of kindness and strength she imparted. Her sister-in-law, Debbie Mennel, along with several nieces and nephews, also hold her memory dear in their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Mennel and Anna Debronze Mennel, and her brother Dennis J. Mennel, whose memories she carried with love.
Family and friends are invited to honor Donna’s life at a visitation on April 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services, located at 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA. This will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201 North Pennsylvania Avenue, Morrisville, PA, beginning at 12:30 p.m. The service will conclude with interment at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA, at 2:00 p.m.
Donna Lee Gabriel’s life was a tapestry of love, faith, and generosity—a legacy of warmth and care that will continue to glow in the hearts of all blessed to have known her. Her spirit endures in the kindness she showed, the community she nurtured, and the family that will forever treasure her memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider making a memorial contribution, in Donna's name, to Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067.
