Denise Anne Dotsey, beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away on May 20, 2025, at Jefferson Hospital in Washington Township, NJ, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will forever echo in the hearts of those she cherished. Born on November 21, 1949, in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, raised in Woburn, MA, and living at numerous Army bases in the U.S. and Europe, Denise’s life was a tapestry woven with threads of devotion, service, and a love for family, God and Country that knew no bounds.
For over 20 years, Denise dedicated herself to her career as a banker, most recently with Wells Fargo Bank, respecting the trust placed in her by her community. Beyond her professional endeavors, Denise's heart thrived within the cherished walls of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Morrisville, PA, where she volunteered, monthly, with her husband to process the collections, embodying the faith that was central to her existence. Her Catholic upbringing nurtured her spirit and informed her approach to life, fostering a sense of commitment to serve others.
A graduate of Lenape High School and attendee of Bucks County Community College, Denise enjoyed being the wife of an Army officer and living in a variety of states and countries before making Yardley, PA, her home for over 35 years. Her vibrant personality was evident in all aspects of her life, shining through her hobbies and interests, baking delectable cakes for her children and grandchildren’s birthdays, volunteering with the Red Cross, working annually at the US Open while living in Fort Benning, GA, or helping at local school libraries. Her love of reading opened countless worlds for her. Denise enjoyed opening her home to family and friends, especially during the holidays. It was always filled with the aroma of delicious meals and desserts that she lovingly prepared for all to enjoy. Denise was regularly recognized for her contributions within each community she lived, but especially when she was elected as a Judge of Elections in her Lower Makefield, a testament to her commitment to service and civic duty.
Denise found joy in each moment spent with her family, especially with her husband, George “Bud” Dotsey, whose 55-year partnership added an irreplaceable chapter to her life. She is survived by her daughters, Andee (Matt) Bramblett and Danie (Noel) Dotsey-Ramirez, both of Mullica Hill, NJ, who carry forward the values she instilled in them. Denise takes with her the laughter of five grandchildren—Tyler, Austin, and Addison Bramblett, and Bella and Livie Ramirez—who will remember her not just as a grandmother, but as a remarkable force of love and support in their lives.
Her legacy also extends to her siblings, whose companionship enriched her journey: her brothers, John Levesque of Dickinson, TX, Jay (Ginger) Levesque of Lumberton, NJ, the late Richard and Craig Levesque, and her sisters Barbara (Ronald) Dotsey of Langhorne, PA, and Michele (Jeff) Martin of Broomfield, CO, her many nieces and nephews, and her beloved yellow lab, Blaze.
Denise will be fondly remembered during the visitation on June 4, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by a Mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, located at 201 North Pennsylvania Avenue, Morrisville, PA, from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM.
As we say goodbye to Denise Anne Dotsey, we honor a life richly lived, marked by faith, family, and friendships that transcended time. She may be gone, but her spirit will forever linger in the stories we share, the memories we cherish, and the love she so fiercely spread throughout her life.
