D. Steven Phillips

D. Steven Philips, age 61, of Florida, passed away on May 10, 2013 in Florida. Steven was a graduate of Morrisville High School in 1971. He started his apprenticeship as a golf professional at Hopewell Valley Golf Club under John Belluardo, which he completed in 1975. His first professional employment was Stoney Brook Golf Club in Hopewell, NJ. He moved to Florida in 1979 and had several general manager positions until he purchased Mayfair Country Club in Sanford, FL. Son of the late David and Dolores (Wood) Phillips, Steve leaves behind three sons, John, David, and Bill, his brother Jeffrey V. Phillips of Yardley, and his grandfather John Lavan. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew, Amanda, Christy, and Kyle McAllister.Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial services on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 10 AM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA. (www.hooperfuneralchapel.com). The Rev. John Eckert, Pastor of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Morrisville Cemetery.Friends may call Monday evening, June 3, 2013 from 7-9 PM at the funeral chapel.
