Cynthia Morrison Haines, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and educator, was born on August 4, 1952, in Trenton, NJ. After a life devoted to her family and teaching, she passed away at her home in Morrisville, PA, on September 5, 2025. Cynthia's legacy is one marked by the profound impact she had on her students and loved ones throughout her incredible journey of 73 years.
Cynthia's passion for education shone brightly during her career as a school teacher. She began her teaching journey in the classrooms of E. Amwell High School, later dedicating over 20 years of her life to the Emilie Christian Day School. Her gentle guidance and deep commitment to her students left an indelible mark, as she nurtured young minds with care and encouragement.
For 42 years, Morrisville was blessed to be Cynthia’s home, a community she embraced with open arms. She thrived in her neighborhood, often seen tending to her beautiful garden, which reflected her love for nature and flowers. Additionally, her culinary talents transformed mealtime into an art form, as she delighted family and friends with incredible home-cooked meals. Cynthia also cherished the moments spent at the beach, where the sound of crashing waves became a backdrop for many cherished memories.
Her dedication extended beyond her family; she was an active member of the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, profoundly involved in the CYO and the Food Pantry, sharing her generosity with those in need. Cynthia was particularly proud of her involvement in her parish, where her spirit of service flourished.
Cynthia's heart held a deep devotion to her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Jeffrey L. Haines, with whom she shared 42 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love and joy. She is also survived by her sons, Ryan C. Haines and his wife Kelly, along with Eric M. Haines, who have inherited her warmth and love of life. Nothing brought her more happiness than the time spent with her grandson, Jackson Haines, whose presence filled her with immeasurable joy. Additionally, she leaves behind several nieces and nephews, all fortunate enough to share in the love she so effortlessly gave.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Lenvel Morrison and Josephine Makucha Morrison, who laid a foundation of strength and kindness that she would carry with her throughout her life, and her brother Michael J. Morrison..
A visitation will be held on September 24, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and again on September 25, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067. A Mass will follow at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Morrisville, PA 19067 at 11:00 AM, culminating with an inurnment at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Yardley at 12:00 PM.
