It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Curtis L. Samhammer, Sr., a cherished son, father, brother, and friend, who departed this life on May 12, 2025, at his home in Morrisville, Pennsylvania. For 42 years, Curtis devoted himself to his career as a Foreman in the Engineering Department with Amtrak. He was a proud member of the Morrisville Fire Company, (formerly Capitol View) where he made many lifelong friends, and that special group who lived by their moto “we’re hell when we’re well and we ain’t never sick”! Curtis enjoyed fishing, and in earlier years, could often be found fishing in the small pond at the bottom of his backyard, along with his children, at his home in Fallsington. His love for NASCAR was evident and he enjoyed yearly trips to Dover to cheer on his favorite driver with other race fans. Son of the late Nelson Samhammer, Sr., Curtis is survived by his mother, Cecilia Mazzocca, his children, Curtis Samhammer, Jr. of Morrisville James, Samhammer of Morrisville, and Jaclynn Samhammer of Levittown. He also leaves behind his brother, Nelson Samhammer (Susan), a niece, nephew, and many beloved relatives who were an important part of his family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Morrisville Fire Company, Morrisville, PA 19067
