Constance Diane Cummings

On November 28th, Connie returned to The One that created her. She has left behind family and friends whose hearts ache and rejoice at the same time. Connie was a force of nature who touched many with her pure spirit and loving presence. Precious and graceful are words that come to mind when thinking about how Connie left this world. During her life, Connie attended the St. John of God program, BARC preschool, and public school under the IU 22 from age 5-21. She was a member of the women’s group, WORTH, that raised money for people with disabilities. She was a member of Calvary Full Gospel Church. She was a member of the Women’s Ministry and the Cards of Encouragement Ministry, with the help of her mother, through the church. She assisted with recycling cards to make placemats which were given to thousands of people to enjoy. With physical assistance she enjoyed many activities. She shared her crafting with neighbors, the senior citizen’s center, and friends. She frequently participated in cooking family meals. Outings generally consisted of shopping, going to the park, and going out to eat. The best part of her outings was always the car ride. She was blessed to have a ‘village’ of friends, caregivers, and medical providers. She built relationships with caregivers and therapists over her 43 years that left lasting impressions in all of their hearts. No services will be planned and she will be buried near her father, by the military, at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
