A vibrant and extraordinarily loving soul whose life was defined by creativity, deep devotion to her family, and boundless warmth, passed away on July 30, 2026, at the age of 78.

Born on December 13, 1947, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, Carolyn spent her early years residing in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, before marrying and making her home in Morrisville, Pennsylvania, where she lived for 60 years.

A trailblazer in her family, Carolyn set a remarkable foundation as the first to earn a college degree, graduating with a degree in business. But her talents didn't end there; she had a natural gift for fine art. A passionate painter, she spent hours with oils and acrylics, creating beautiful paintings of flowers and landscapes that brought her immense joy.

That passion took on a joyous new form when she and her beloved husband, Harry, opened The Magic Hat, a balloon decorating and entertainment business that brought celebration to countless lives. A gifted seamstress, she brought his performance costumes to life—crafting creations so remarkable they propelled him to win first-place competition after competition.

Outside of her artistic endeavors, Carolyn lived life to the fullest. In her younger years, she was a dedicated and energetic member of a bowling league, loving every bit of the friendly competition before later channeling her energy into genealogy. Fiercely proud of her Polish heritage, she spent countless hours lovingly researching both sides of her family tree, tracing her roots back as far as history would allow and preserving her family's legacy for generations to come. In her quieter moments, Carolyn was an avid reader whose Kindle was practically an extension of her hand, and she adored getting lost in the comfort, romance, and happy endings of the Hallmark Channel.

Above all her accomplishments, her greatest devotion was always to her family. She was an incredible wife, an amazing mother, and a deeply cherished Babcia (Polish for grandmother). Whenever anyone in her family needed her, she was there without hesitation. Her home and heart were always open, and her love was truly unconditional.

She leaves behind a rich legacy of joy, resilience, and love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dolores Domarski, and her brother, John "Bud" Domarski.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Harry; her children, Harry H. Barnes III (Deborah) and Christine M. Barnes; her cherished granddaughter, Charlotte V. Barnes; her beloved brothers, Steven Domarski and Roger “Chip” Domarski; her beloved sisters, Dolores Kimmel and Wendy Gettis; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial donations be made in Carolyn’s memory to support her granddaughter Charlotte’s run in the New York City Marathon, benefiting NYRR Team for Kids.

Carolyn was our family’s biggest cheerleader, and Charlotte was her absolute pride and joy. Helping her reach this goal is a fitting way to carry that spirit forward, and it would mean the world to our entire family.
