Carmela Alvino

Carmela “Carmel” Fattore Alvino, of Yardley, Pennsylvania, passed away on May 12, 2026. Born on July 16, 1938 in Trenton, New Jersey, Carmel lived a life center on faith, family friendship and generosity.

 She was predeceased by her parents Incarnato and Alex Fattore; her two sons, Lenny and Lane Alvino; her sisters, Mary Bencivengo, Jean Gaines, Antoinette Liccardello and Lena; her brother, Frank Fattore; and her nephews, Alex Bencivengo, Don Liccardello, and Frank Fattore Jr.. Caramel is survived by her beloved sons, Lance and Billy Alvino; her niece, Madalyn Rogers; her nephews, Neil Bencivengo, Alex Liccardello, Jerry Gains, and Joe Liccardello; as well as many dear friends and neighbors whose lives she touched throughout the years. 

A devoted homemaker, Carmel found great joy in cooking and bringing loved ones together, especially during the holidays. Christmas Eve was one of her favorite traditions, where she lovingly prepared the Feast of the Seven Fishes for family and friends. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and comfort of good food shared with those she loved.

Later in life, Carmel pursued her passion for education by returning to school to earn her teaching degree. She went on to teach in the Ewing school district, where she enjoyed working with children and making a positive difference in their lives.

Carmel was deeply religious and cherished the friendships she built within her community. She loves spending time with friends and neighbors and will be remembered for her kindness, strong faith, caring spirit, and unwavering love for her family.

 Her memory will live on all the heart and the hearts of all who knew her.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, starting at 9:30 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 752 Big Oak Rd., Morrisville, PA 19067. Mass for Carmel will begin at 10:30 in the church. Interment will take place in St. Marys Cemetery in Trenton, NJ. following the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Carmels memory to Joey‘s Little Angels, 223 Sharps Ln., Hamilton, NJ 08610.
