Bruna Cassetta, a beloved figure and cherished member of her community, peacefully departed this world on August 28, 2025, in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Born on December 10, 1937, in Latina, Lazio, Italy, Bruna carried with her the warmth and traditions of her Italian heritage throughout her life.
For many years, she lent her remarkable skills to the garment industry as a talented tailor, creating garments with care and precision. This profession was more than a career for Bruna; it was a means through which she expressed her creativity and dedication. Her diligence and artistry left an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of wearing her creations, as well as on her colleagues in the trade.
Bruna made her home in Langhorne for over three decades, where she was not merely a resident but a stalwart of the community, a proud parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Morrisville, PA. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, embodying the very values she lived by: compassion, service, and love.
An extraordinary cook, Bruna delighted in preparing meals for her family, filling their lives with the aromas and flavors of her cherished recipes. Her love for gardening further reflected her nurturing spirit, as she tended to her plants with as much care as she did her family. Those who had the pleasure of her company often found joy in playing Pokeno, a game that brought laughter and connection to her household.
Bruna is survived by her loving daughter Angela Cassetta and son-in-law Thomas Sandoval; her son Anthony Cassetta and daughter-in-law Sheryl; and her beloved granddaughter, Nina Cassetta. She will also be deeply missed by her siblings, Enrico and Agatha Verrico, Maria Gagliardi, Franca Ruggiero, and Rita, along with many nieces and nephews who carry on her legacy of love.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Raffaelle Cassetta, and her parents, Mario Verrico and Elisabetta Scafi Cassetta.
To honor Bruna's remarkable life, a Memorial Gathering will be held on September 8, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, located at 752 Big Oak Road, Morrisville, PA, 19067.
As we reflect upon the life of Bruna Cassetta, we celebrate her contributions as a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her spirit will forever remain a source of inspiration, a testament to the beauty of love and resilience intertwined across generations.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that you consider making a memorial contribution, in Bruna's name, to St. John the Evangelist Church at the above address.
