Betty Lee Abrams (lee)

Betty Lee Abrams, age 81, of Lambertville, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, April 30 2013 at Sunrise Assisted Living, Yardley, PA. Born in Sayre, PA, Betty was raised in Trenton, NJ, and lived in Yardley, New Hope for 15 years, and finally Lambertville, NJ for 22 years.Mrs. Abrams was employed as a bookkeeper, working with her husband, Stanley at Abrams, Flynn, and Company in Lawrenceville for many years. She was a volunteer for the Hunterdon County Hospice as well as the Lobby Shop at Hunterdon County Hospital. Betty was a member of the Lambertville Symphonia, the Lambertville Historical Society, and an avid poll worker every election day. She loved ballroom dancing and the theater especially Broadway. She was also a tour guide for the Hunterdon County Adult Ed. She and her late husband loved traveling worldwide.Daughter of the late Robert E. and Florance (Williams) Lee, and wife of the late Stanley Abrams, she is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Lee and Steve Wharton of Williamsburg, OH and Robin L. and Bill Levondosky of Levittown, a son David B. Scott of Morrisville 4 grandchildren Chad and Jessica Wharton, Amy Lohan and Becky Summers, and 3 great grandchildren, Garrett Wharton, Ian Summers, and Max Lohan.Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 AM on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067 (www.hooperfuneralchapel.com). Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton Township, NJ.Friends may call Wednesday evening, May 8, 2013 from 7-9 PM, and on Thursday morning from 10-11 AM at the funeral chapel.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Betty's name be made to Hunterdon County Hospice, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822.
