Anthony C. Matteucci

Anthony C. Matteucci, age 91, a longtime resident of Morrisville, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019, at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown, PA.  Born in Cleveland, OH, he grew up at the Parmadale orphanage before moving to Trenton, NJ, where he met his wife.

Mr. Matteucci was employed as an auto mechanic for Reedman Motors, McCafferty Ford, Acme Markets, and retired from Engineering and Refrigeration in Bristol.  He was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church and was a former member of the Knights of Columbus, Fraternal Order of Eagles and Kiwanis.  Anthony was a music lover and a musician, playing the bass fiddle, trumpet and trombone. He was a member of the Chris Matthews Quartet, playing the big band music that he loved. He was also a die-hard fan of the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns.

Son of the late Lorenzo and Maria (Crea) Matteucci, the youngest of 6 children (Joseph, Dominica “Minnie” Yafanaro, Elizabeth Madda, Victor and Francesco) and husband of the late Angelina (Bockin) Matteucci, he is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Angelina Christine and Josh Putterman of Morrisville, Antoinette C. “Toni” Matteucci of Morrisville, and Christine and Angelo Pescatore of Punta Gorda, FL; two granddaughters, Sophie and Abigail Putterman; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate his Funeral Mass at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067.  His interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Family and friends may call Monday from 7-9 PM and Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 AM at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Mr. Matteucci’s name be made to Holy Trinity Church at the address above.
