Anne Dewees O'MearaAnne Dewees O'Meara passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 1, 2014, while returning from a trip to the Biltmore Estate. In addition to travel, she was passionate about gardening, reading, taking care of her family, and spending time on any beach anywhere.Born in Norristown, PA on May 20, 1943 to the late Warren T. and Anna M. (Evanik) Dewees, she lived in Yardley, PA since 1976.She graduated from Bishop Kendrick High School in 1961 and attended classes at Ursinus College. At various times in her life, she worked at Weidemann's in King of Prussia, PA, Alan Wood Steel Company in Conshohocken, PA, and Educational Testing Services in Princeton, NJ.Anne was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, John Michael O'Meara, in 2010.Anne leaves behind two children, Tara Ann O'Meara of West Chester, PA and Patrick Burke O'Meara, and his wife Sharon, of Belvidere, NJ who will love and miss her without end. She was the doting grandmother to Tara Ann's children Logan, Malachi, Annalise, and Tierney, and Patrick and Sharon's children Grace and Colin, and she meant the world to them in return. Anne is also survived by her devoted sister, Regina Jane Janoski, and her husband Jack, of King of Prussia, PA, and her loving brother, Thomas Dewees, and his wife Holly, of Spring Mount, PA, a host of nieces and nephews, and many dear and close friends, who all gave her great joy and much laughter throughout her life.We would have held onto her forever, but we're eternally grateful for the time we were given.We invite family and friends to call Thursday May 8, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral home at 41 W. Trenton Avenue, Morrisville, PA 19067. A funeral mass will be held at 12 pm at Holy Trinity Church at 201 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, Morrisville, PA. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.Anne felt strongly that no one should ever go hungry and was dedicated to several charities serving that mission. Memorial contributions in Anne's name can be made to St. Francis Inn, 2441 Kensington Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19125 or the food pantry of your choice.
