Morris S. Appenzeller

February 2, 1921 — November 13, 2012

Morris S. (Bud) Appenzeller of Brandywine Communities in Pennington, NJ was a life-long resident of Fallsington, Bucks County, PA. Bud died peacefully on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 with his daughters by his side.
As a young man, Bud worked at Hunter Manufacturing as a mounted policeman. Prior to his retirement, he was the co-owner (with his wife Vera) and operator of the Spring Water Supply Company for over 35 years. He was the Past Commander and Life Member of Falls Township American Legion Post # 834, a Life Member of Falls Township Fire Company #1 and Bucks County Firemen Association. He was a life-long active member of the Morrisville Presbyterian Church. Budc was active with RSVP Area Agency of Doylestown. A Veteran of WWII, Bud was a member of the Army Air Corps and served at the Battle of Central Germany. He held a Legion of Honor membership in The Chapel of the Four Chaplains. Bud was active with the Falls Township High School Alumni, a member of the Morrisville Senior Service Center, and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Falls Township Senior Centers.
The son of the late Benjamin and Grace (Stirling) Appenzeller, he was brother to the late Lester Appenzeller and the late Gloria Shull. Bud was predeceased (Dec. 2010) by his wife of 68 years, Vera (Amice) Appenzeller. He is survived by five (5) daughters, Joann & Jemes Heilig of Langhorne, Audrey A. Harris of Langhorne, Bonnie & John Beachler of Fairless Hills, Marla & Bob Becker of Seattle, WA, and Laurle Nalbone of Yardley. He is also survived by his Brother and sister in law, Ralph (Scrappy) & Kitty Amice of Langhorne, and 6 nieces and nephews. He enjoyed his 4 grandsons (Mark, Danny, Steven and Zachary), and 2 grand daughters (Samantha & husband Daryl. And Carrie), and his great-grandsons (DJ and Austin).
In celebration of his life there will be a memorial service at the Morrisville Presbyterian Church (Hutchinson Memorial Chapel) at 2 PM on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012. The church is located at 771 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA. Friends may call from 1-2 PM at the church lounge. Interment of his cremated remains, along with those of is wife, Vera, will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 at 10 AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. His wishes and those of the family are that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Guardians of Washington Crossing Cemetery, PO Box 233, Newtown, PA 18940.
