So very sorry to hear about Tim's passing. Although I hadn't seen Tim in a few many years, I have friends who still remained close to him. I hold fond memories of Tim from our high school years and beyond. He was always friendly, upbeat with a great sense of humor. Tim is definitely one of the nicest people you could ever meet.

Please accept my most sincere condolences during this difficult time. My thoughts are with everyone who knows and loves him.

I met Tim this summer at Mirmont. I was immediately drawn to his friendly and upbeat demeneor, witty and goofy humor, and clear intelligence. Tim seemed very determined and hopeful about the change he was trying to implement in his life. I was constantly struck by his compassion toward others; to say he went the extra mile to help someone would be an understatement. After mirmont we talked and texted regularly. I know he tried so hard to get all his problems under control -- he had a very hard battle, one that I am able to relate to a lot, and as sad as I am that thinga ended this way, I am relieved that he is out of his misery. Tim, thank you for being such an amazing friend to me; I knew i could come to you about anything and you would respond with only love, not judgement. I am so grateful to have had you in my life, even for a short while.

I worked with Tim and with Clark Martin before him, both at NJPA and MSNJ, over many years on the advocacy which is so important to us. Tim truly carried on his father's tradition and did fine work on behalf of our profession and our patients. All my sympathy to the family on this great tragedy.

My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. While your hearts are heavy b/c of such a loss, know that others care and that God(Psalm 83:18) sees your tears and promises to wipe them away, Isaiah 25:8. I hope that beautiful thoughts of Timothy bring you peace. Psalm 147:3 "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds"

Clark and your whole family - when I saw Tim's birthdate I immediately thought of how awful this whole thing has been for you. Family is the ONLY way to get through things like this. The obituary was beautifully written, one of the best I've ever seen and especially in light of the circumstances. You and your wife are such warm, genuine people it really pains me to see you endure this. God speed, God bless. Steady.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Tim's untimely death, and extend to his parents, siblings, children and extended family my deepest sympathy. His suffering and that of all those close to him has been great, and deserving of solace and healing. As a former president of the NJ Psychiatric Association, I was privileged to have worked closely with Clark Martin, and on his retirement, Tim, who represented us ably and with grace, good humor and intelligence. His sunny smile, wit and incisive reports on Trenton politics enlivened our board meetings, but more importantly, he worked passionately alongside us to advocate for patients and their physicians in the Legislature. You're a good man, Tim Martin and we will miss you!
